The road to SaFe® adoption is never really smooth, and yes organizations fail.   1. All Members Are Not Properly Trained

For any successful transformation, every employee needs proper guidance throughout. First identify your leaders, your founding members, and then the development teams. To head towards success, make sure each member is aware of the direction and pace they need to be working on.   1. Don’t Opt for a Tool or a Process

Remember the consultants are there for guidance, and not responsible for solving all your organizational problems. 

  1. Not Taking Customer Feedback Seriously

It’s often a vicious cycle where the organization fails to take their client’s feedback seriously and as a result, the customer starts disregarding the feedback process as well. No one can help you improve better than your customers, and your agile teams are an integral part. A product can be perfect but not according to what your customer demands. Thus all will be futile without customer satisfaction. 

  1. Functional Teams < Cross-Functional Teams

With Agile, comes the need for any changes to adapt the framework in all its essence. You can teach the values to your teams but keeping them allotted to the same old functional structure will help nobody. Team members will immediately start thriving and ease up into better performance with cross-functional teams, where the environment is consistently stimulating with better communication, creativity, problem-solving, etc. 

  1. Going too Fast or Giving Up Midway

Adapting to agile is not inexpensive or easy. So if you start on the process of transformation and find the road too bumpy and give up midway, it’ll do your organization more harm than good. Similarly, if you are under the illusion that Agile adoption is easy and your process is way too fast-paced, chances are you are doing it wrong.
